Microgrants for Foster Youth
A Dreams33 Microgrant is a cash grant to pay for unexpected academic or vocational-related expenses. These can include, but are not limited to: a home computer or laptop; a printer; additional materials for a class; educational subscription or app; an occupational membership; computer software; a workshop or training.
Application Age: 18 +
Service Area: Nationwide
Requirements:
- Must be in or formally in the foster care system
- Currently enrolled in an accredited university, community college, & vocational program and in good standing
Documentation needed for application:
- Dependency or Ward Letter
- Copy of transcripts
- Proof of current enrollment
- Personal Statement
- Identification
Application Period:
Year round
Annual Grant Amount:
One microgrant per 12 month period – amount based on the specific application request.
