Future emergency room nurse I am driven to improve the lives of my community and my family. Over the past several years, I have balanced school with employment and family responsibilities, working hard to serve as a role model for my daughter while making my own dreams come true. A current student at Cañada College, I plan on completing my general education requirements by 2023 before transferring to a nursing program. I hope that my success will inspire former foster youth like myself, a community I currently supports as the Coordinator for the County of San Mateo Supported Training and Employment Program (STEP).
