Future emergency room nurse, I am driven to improve the lives of my community and my family. Over the past several years, I have balanced school with employment and family responsibilities, working hard to serve as a role model for my daughter while making my own dreams come true. A current student at Cañada College and my major is Medical Assisting and Medical Coding Specialist. My educational goal is to transfer to a nursing program. I hope that my success will inspire former foster youth like myself, a community I currently supports as the Coordinator for the County of San Mateo Supported Training and Employment Program (STEP). I would really appreciate to get movie tickets to enjoy the summer. I love having movie’s night with my daughter on the weekends, while we eat popcorn. It is a way to relax and disconnect from other things that keep me busy during the week.
